Fly Sun Valley Alliance, Inc. is an Idaho non-profit 501c(6) corporation. Our volunteer board of directors is structured to effectively represent and speak for the entire Wood River Valley community and therefore includes various governmental agency representatives and key valley business stakeholders with a diverse array of experience and expertise.

ERIC SEDER, Board President
Owner, Sun Valley Shutters & Shades and Fox Creek Fabrics
Eric has served as President of FSVA since 2011 and as a successful small business owner in the valley for the past 15 years, he has been actively involved in business and education issues, including serving on the boards of the Sun Valley Economic Development, Blaine County Schools Education Foundation and College of Southern Idaho Blaine County Advisory Board. Prior to moving to Sun Valley, Eric was head of western US regional public finance for Smith Barney (now CitiGroup) and responsible for infrastructure financing for state & local governments throughout the western US and the Pacific. He was involved in financing numerous general or special facilities airport construction/improvements for San Francisco, Las Vegas, Portland, Eugene, Seattle, Honolulu, Maui, Kauai, Guam and the Northern Marianas, and managed approximately $10 billion in financing for airports, public power, water and sewer systems, public transit, roads and highways and general infrastructure. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
TIM SILVA, Board VP
Vice-President/General Manager, Sun Valley Resort
Tim Silva is Vice-President/General Manager of Sun Valley Resort, a position he has held since returning in 2009 from a 17-year stint with Northstar at Tahoe, including the position of Vice-President/General Manager. He has a long history with Sun Valley, starting in 1976 in the management training program and working in mountain management for many years prior to leaving for Tahoe in 1992. At Northstar, Tim was closely involved in the reinvention of Northstar at Tahoe as one on the top family ski resorts in the country. Tim is currently Chair of the National Ski Areas Association, Past President of the California Ski Industry Association, and serves on the board of Sun Valley Marketing Alliance. Tim’s wife Leslie is very active in local volunteer and philanthropic endeavors. They have two grown children. Tim holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of California, Davis and Utah State University respectively.
DICK FENTON, Treasurer
Managing Principal, McCann Daech Fenton Realtors
Dick has been actively involved with air service to Sun Valley as an informal liaison between the resort, the air carriers and the airport since mid-70's, and served on the Blaine County Air Transportation Advisory Group for 6 years before taking a seat on the Fly Sun Valley Alliance Board when it was formed in 2008. Dick was involved in initiating SkyWest service from SLC, Horizon service from SEA and subsequently from LAX with USDOT grant, charter programs from SFO, LAX, SNA, obtaining contract tower, MLS, and TLS, advising on 1990 Relocation Study, 1994 Master Plan, 2006 Relocation Feasibility Study. Dick holds an MBA from Harvard, was management consultant at KMPG and has extensive experience in resort planning, development, operations, marketing and corporate finance for projects throughout the US, including Bear Valley, Telluride, Vail, Park City, Sunriver, Kapalua, Newport Beach, and Lake Tahoe. He has also been a strategic planning and financial consultant on mergers and acquisitions within the commercial airline industry.

Patrick and his family have been living in the Wood River Valley since 2006. He is a small business owner and operates the two State Farm Insurance agencies in Hailey and Ketchum. Patrick is a Board of Director and past President of the Hailey Chamber of Commerce and he represents the Hailey business community on the FSVA Board. He is focused and dedicated in seeing the Wood River Valley continue to be a healthy place to raise a family and a vibrant community to operate a small business without sacrificing the values that have made this valley so great.

Walt is a recent transplant to the Wood River Valley but clearly understands the importance of air service to not only his national business and clients, but to the entire economy of the Wood River Valley. He moved to Hailey in 2012 from New Jersey to take the postion of CFO at Marketron, a global leader in broadcast media software and services, headquartered in Hailey. His previous experience includes providing many years of financial and strategic advisory services to Fortune 500 and middle-market companies, and to newly privatized businesses in Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Wally Huffman has been involved in securing and supporting air service to Sun Valley for over four decades. During his 35 year tenure as the General Manager of Sun Valley Resort he was instrumental in Sun Valley Resort’s pivotal role in securing and financially supporting service to SUN from Salt Lake City, Seattle, Los Angeles, Oakland and in the 1970s and 80s, flights from San Francisco and Chicago into Twin Falls. He served on the Blaine County Air Transportation Advisory Committee, has continued to work on behalf of air service development over the years serving on the Fly Sun Valley Alliance Board and maintaining strategic relationships with airline executives.

GM, Limelight Hotel Ketchum
John moved to the area with his family to open and manager the new Limelight Hotel Ketchum and is excited to become an involved member of the community. “Accessibility is always the key to a destination resort’s sustained success. I look forward to working with Fly Sun Valley Alliance to continue the great momentum in securing improved air service both for our guests and for this great community”. He has more than 25 years working in the resort hotel business, all of it in winter resort destinations, including stints in Aspen, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek and Steamboat Springs. He has worked in many capacities including Director of Sales and Marketing, General Manager and Regional General Manger and his experience includes the Sheraton Steamboat Resort, St. Regis Aspen, Sky Hotel in Aspen, Westin Snowmass Resort and the Beaver Creek Lodge. In addition, he has a background in resort condominium management.
SHANNON ALLEN GM, Hotel Ketchum
Shannon Allen has lived and worked in Ketchum for the last 9 years. She loves this community and all that it offers and feels incredibly grateful to raise her daughter in this amazing place. She has worked within several lodging organizations including Knob Hill Inn, Natural Retreats & currently as the General Manager for the new Hotel Ketchum, sister property to the Tamarack Lodge. She has well rounded experience in the various lodging sectors in our valley and can understand and relate to the range of issues that impact us all. She volunteered for the LOT campaign as well as the Bradshaw campaign and would like to continue to grow her involvement in community as a board member of FSVA. She travels personally and professionally out of SUN and would be excited to contribute her time, experience and perspective to help FSVA continue their amazing work in the valley.

SUN Airport Manager/Airport Liason
Chris has more than 21 years of broad airport and aviation experience based on his airport operations/management, aeronautics agencies, and aviation planning consulting background. Over his aviation career, he has worked extensively with airports in the states of Colorado and Idaho and airports in other northwest states including Montana, Washington, and Oregon. Chris is well-versed in airport master planning, airport environmental planning, compatible land use planning, instrument flight procedures requirements and development, and public involvement, based on his extensive experience working with or for numerous general aviation, reliever, and commercial service airports both as a consultant and as an agency representative. Chris has established and maintained a strong professional network and has earned a reputation as a trusted aviation professional in the Northwest Mountain Region. He is proud of his ability to develop and maintain relationships with many different people with diverse interests including airport managers and staff, FAA and state officials, local and state elected officials, industry professionals, community representatives, and members of the public. Chris is a licensed pilot though not current.

Sun Valley City Council Liason
Michelle was elected to the Sun Valley City Council in 2011 and serves as the city’s liaison to FSVA. She is also currently Executive Director ARCH Community Housing Trust working to maximize funding for affordable housing development in Blaine County. Her past experience includes working as a Derivatives Trader and Minerals Trader for BP International, and as Manager of BP Oil’s Network C-Stores managing product line, promotions and advertising programs. Michelle and her husband have been full time Wood River Valley residents for four years following 17 years abroad in various locations resulting from Harry’s work with an international oil company. Michelle is also currently active in a variety of area organizations including NexStage Theatre, Blaine County Housing Authority, Wood River High School and Community School PTO.

Don was a long serving member of the Hailey City Council and currently serves as the Chair of the Friedman Memorial Airport Authority.
Blaine County Commission Liason
Blaine Commissioner Jacob Greenberg is a 30 year valley resident, owner of Shorty’s Diner in Hailey and a small business consultant, with over 35 years of experience in corporate financial management. He is committed to fiscal responsibility and economic development and serves as Blaine County's liaison to the following community economic organizations: Friedman Memorial Airport Authority, Fly Sun Valley Alliance, Sun Valley Economic Development and Hailey Chamber & Visitors Bureau..
FSVA Executive Director
Carol has played a key role in commercial air service development and marketing efforts in Sun Valley for the past 20+ years. She was actively involved in successfully securing one of the first USDOT Small Communities Air Service Development grants to start Alaska Airlines nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Sun Valley in 2002, which continue to operate successfully. She led the destination tourism marketing program for the Sun Valley area as Executive Director of the Sun Valley/Ketchum Chamber & Visitors Bureau (SVKCVB) for 13 years, and spearheaded the formation of the Blaine County Air Transportation Advisory Group, which operated as a committee of the SVKCVB until Fly Sun Valley Alliance was formed as an independent non-profit organization. She provided management of FSVA during her tenure at the SVKCVB, and became director of FSVA in 2011. Her past experience in destination tourism marketing and economic development also includes serving as Marketing Director of the Jackson Hole (WY) Visitors Council/Chamber for eight years, and Governor-appointed Tourism Commissioner for the State of Wyoming Tourism Division. She has held leadership positions on national, regional and state travel and PR industry boards, and has received numerous industry awards for her work. Carol began her 30+ year career in the travel & tourism industry serving coffee and cocktails at 30,000 ft. as an international flight attendant for Pan Am.
